Man, that sucks. A quick look makes it seem like the changes’d be mostly changing the URL and login. I guess it needs to happen at some point or another.

Unfortunately the guys at imgur have completely changed their API so none of this woks.

They’ve, for whatever reason, also removed all example code they once had making this an impossible challenge.

Currently looking into other services.

This is an amazing tutorial! I’m new to python and I found this to be really helpful. I like the step by step explanations and the style is very clean! I would love to see more of these!

No, I’m not aware of anyway to get the pin number. I mean you could use Mechnanize or Selenium and drive a browser, but other than that, I don’t think so. Glad you love it man, if you’ve got any other topics you’d like covered, let me know.

Great straight-forward tutorial, thank you for writing this up.

I was having a problem receiving a proper JSON response after running the script. After looking over the Requests docs found that I had to make simple change of ‘r.json’ to ‘r.json()’ for it to return properly, in case anybody else runs into their code spitting out something like:

Thanks you’re right! The tutorial is based off the current version of requests at the time (0.4.0, I think) and it was an attribute then. Thanks for the reminder!

For the date, you'll have to use the module datetime or time to convert the seconds into a timestamp: time.strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S', time.localtime(1347517370)) Have you tried the full name for the submission? I believe its t3_ for a link, so in your case, it'd be t3_1bdhcd? Let me know if that works, and if it doesn't I'll take a closer look.
